November 2018 has been a funny month for fish. There’s some black drum out there but most people have been catching spots and mullets.<\/p>\n
There are lots of spots out there, so if you’re into spots you just need your pole, a cooler and bloodworms.<\/p>\n
As of the middle of November the water temperatures finally hit 69 degrees and the speckled trout are being caught at the pier.<\/p>\n
I’m not sure what is going on over on the sound side or in the surf, but I’ll be down there this month and will update this article if I have any additional news.<\/p>\n

There are black drum in the surf. When the high tide is in the mullets (aka Whiting) have been going crazy in the morning. I talked to a guy this morning with about 40 fish in his cooler, and they were all at least a foot long.They were using bloodworms.<\/p>\n The full moon has the tide way up this week. I have been to the pier a few times but people are mostly catching a few smaller mullets here and there, and out deeper they’re biting shrimp.
