North Topsail Island COVID-19 State of Emergency Declaration March 17 2020

North Topsail Island Mayor Dan Tuman has declared a State of Emergency for the Town of North Topsail Beach in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The declaration took effect, March 17th, 2020, at 5 p.m. and will remain in effect until modified.

This State of Emergency was unforeseeable as there are zero cases in North Topsail.

The move comes shortly after the World Health Organization named COVID-19 a pandemic, the President of the United States issued a National Emergency and the State of North Carolina issued a State of Emergency.
